Levi Johnston doesn't want you to believe everything you read.

Standing outside his family home in Wasilla, Alaska, Wednesday, the 19-year-old confirmed that the end of his engagement to Bristol Palin was mutual and decided "a while ago." But, he also told the Associated Press that the rumors on the Internet of why and how were inaccurate.

Meanwhile, Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of Gov. Sarah Palin, issued a statement through her mother's political action committee, saying, "Unfortunately, my family has seen many people say and do many things to 'cash in' on the Palin name. Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth."

The teenagers' infant son, Tripp was born Dec. 27.

Melissa Rycroft may not be engaged to 'The Bachelor' star Jason Mesnick, but at least she gets to continue her 15 minutes of fame.

Sources say that the 'Bachelor' finalist, who was proposed to and then dumped on national TV, will take Nancy O'Dell's spot on 'Dancing With the Stars.'

O'Dell, along with Jewel, pulled out of the ballroom competition due to injuries. Jewel is expected to be replaced by Holly Madison, Hugh Hefner's ex-girlfriend and 'Girls Next Door' star.

Singer-actress Mandy Moore and rock singer Ryan Adams are engaged.

Moore's publicist Jillian Fowkes confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the two are planning to wed. No details were announced.

The 24-year-old Moore started out as a squeaky-clean teen singer and later crossed into movies with featured roles in such films as "License to Wed," "A Walk to Remember," "Saved" and "American Dreamz."

Adams, who played in the band Whiskeytown during the 1990s before turning solo, is known for his song "New York, New York," which appeared on his album "Gold," released in 2001.

Sir Paul McCartney’s new girlfriend Nancy Shevell is now divorced from her husband... leaving her free to marry the music legend.Her divorce from wealthy lawyer Bruce Blakeman was made final last month.

Sir Paul has told friends he now plans to wed US haulage heiress Nancy, saying: “We are blissfully happy together.”

Crucially, Sir Paul has the blessing of daughter Stella, who was a fierce opponent of his disastrous and costly second marriage to Heather Mills. Friends say the top fashion designer would be delighted to welcome Nancy into the family.

It's getting messy between Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan and her former fiance, pop crooner Michael Bolton.

In May, the lovebirds bought a mansion in LA's exclusive Hidden Hills area from Melissa Etheridge and her wife Tammy Lynn Michaels for $4.4 million - down from the asking price of $4.9 million.

Bolton, madly in love, left his East Coast home and moved in with his British-born sweetheart. On Aug. 24, he finally put his huge, 9,000 square foot Westport, Conn., home, known as Della Acqua, up for sale for a whopping $11 million.

Sadly for Bolton, just two days later, Sheridan "kicked him out," our source said.

And now, "he's basically homeless - and stuck with two houses. He and Nicollette split the Hidden Hills house, but she wants to stay there and not have him anywhere near it. She also doesn't particularly want to pay him [for] his half and thinks he should just give [the house] to her.

Even though we all assumed it was true, Brad Pitt openly admits in the new issue of Rolling Stone that he "fell in love" with Angelina Jolie while he was still with Jennifer Aniston. It's the same reason 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' tops as his favorite movie of all time, he said. "[Angelina] is not only the woman I love, but one of the people on this planet who I have the greatest respect for. I think she's as honorable as anyone I've ever met."

Ivana Trump has issued a statement confirming reports of marital discord with Italian entrepreneur Rossano Rubicondi. Trump, who married Rubicondi in April, says she filed a legal separation agreement three months ago. Trump says she kept quiet about it because she didn't want to ruin Rubicondi's chances as a contestant on the Italian edition of the reality TV show "Survivor."

Rubicondi is Trump's fourth husband. After about six years of dating, they tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at her ex-husband Donald Trump's estate in Florida.

Says Trump: "Rossano wants to live in Miami and work in Milan. ... But, I am a New Yorker and my family, friends and businesses are here. As the beautiful song says, `Que sera sera!'"

Ashley Dupré claims she had no idea who the man was that night. What she does recall is that "Client 9," as NY governor Elliott Spitzer was reportedly known at her escort service (which was shut down in March), "was polite.

"Some guys, they want to have conversations and really get to know each other. With him, it clearly was not like that. It was more of a transaction. Strictly business."

Casually dressed and with no entourage in tow, Spitzer didn't strike Dupré as someone important. Besides, "I was there for a purpose – not to wonder who [he] could be."

A former NFL cheerleader and winner of "The Bachelor" is out of jail after being arrested in a southwest border-town bar for unruly behavior.

Mary Delgado, who accepted a televised proposal from professional bass fisherman Byron Velvick on 2004's The Bachelor, was arrested in Del Rio after refusing to leave a local bar.

Delgado, 41, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. She was released about an hour later.

It's unclear if the former Buccaneers cheerleader had an attorney. A telephone listing could not be found for Delgado's home state of Florida, where she was arrested last year on a charge that she struck a man she lived with.

Sienna Miller and Balthazar Getty have split, the actress tells Usmagazine.com.

"I'm single at the moment, and I'm completely happy with that," she said Friday at the Hollywood Dominoes: VIP Launch in London. "It's nice not to have a relationship that the press constantly want to scrutinize and discuss. I'm cool with being on my own."

One of Hugh Hefner's live-in girlfriends is trading the grotto for the gridiron.

The Playboy mogul said in a statement Thursday that The Girls Next Door co-star Kendra Wilkinson is engaged to Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett. The 23-year-old model-actress has lived with Hefer since 2004 and currently co-stars as one of his three girlfriends in the E! reality series.

"I have given her my blessing and will be giving her away at a very special wedding ceremony at the Playboy Mansion this coming June," Hefner said.

The 82-year-old publisher's love life has been in flux. Last month, he and "number one" girlfriend Holly Madison called it quits. Twin 19-year-olds Karissa and Kristina Shannon are currently living with Hefner.

French film legend-turned-activist Brigitte Bardot took a swipe at Sarah Palin on Tuesday, saying the US vice presidential candidate was a disgrace to women.

"I hope you lose these elections because that would be a victory for the world," Bardot wrote in an open letter to Republican John McCain's running mate in the November vote.

"By denying the responsibility of man in global warming, by advocating gun rights and making statements that are disconcertingly stupid, you are a disgrace to women and you alone represent a terrible threat, a true environmental catastrophe," wrote Bardot.

The screen icon from the 1960s, who now heads an animal rights foundation, went on to assail Palin for supporting Arctic oil exploration that could jeopardize delicate animal habitats and for dismissing measures to protect polar bears.

"This shows your total lack of responsibility, your inability to protect or simply respect animal life," Bardot wrote.

In a final salvo against Palin, the 74-year-old ex-star picked up on Palin's depiction of herself as a pitbull wearing lipstick and said she "implored" her not to compare herself to dogs.

Angelina Jolie took three of her children, Shiloh, Zahara, and Pax for a walk in the French Quarter of New Orleans on Monday. They stopped at Verdi Mart for some snacks and Cheetos and were accompanied by two security guards. At one point a horse-drawn carriage, filled with who we can only presume are tourists, passed by the familial, moving cluster. Father Brad was also nearby riding around, looking like a Jehovah's Witness.

Drew Barrymore told the November issue of Bazaar that Barack Obama made her cry. "When I heard him speak about a gay person never having to sit outside the hospital room with their loved one sick inside, I burst into tears because so many people I care about are homosexual and it was profound to have someone be sensitive to that. That's the kind of world I want to live in, where we're not holding our own principles in judgment above someone or against someone." She added, "It's the first time I've really admitted I'm a Democrat."

Ellen deGeneris and Portia De Rossi are planning a small, intimate ceremony in California this weekend with only a few close friends and family.

Actress Christina Applegate reportedly is undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Ame Van Iden, publicist for the 36-year-old actress, released the following statement late Saturday: "Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Benefiting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening. Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery."

Elizabeth Taylor was hospitalized for an undisclosed reason but was expected to return home soon, representatives for the Oscar-winning actress said Thursday. A statement released by Dick Guttman, her Los Angeles-based publicist, did not say where Taylor was staying, nor did it specify what was ailing the 76-year-old actress.

Jessica Simpson on dating singer John Mayer (now with Jennifer Aniston) : "John believed in the Jessica Simpson that’s within. He cherished our love. He helped make me the woman I am today. John is going to be an amazing man for someone, but I know that I was supposed to be with someone else."

Either Joan Rivers didn't realize who her audience was, or she just didn't care, but according to Perez Hilton, the comedian delivered a foul-mouthed set at a Girl Scouts fund-raiser. She even referred to the attendees as "whores." Guess someone was channeling Imus.

Shannon Elizabeth was quite happy to take her romance with her 'DWTS' partner Derek Hough from the stage to the bedroom, but not yet to the altar. Star Mag says the 'Dancing' pro proposed but she turned him down. Guess she's not ready to dance off into the sunset.

Bachelor Matt Grant and fiancée Shayne Lamas have ended their short and often-rocky relationship, they tell People. "We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions. We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."

Extra has learned that Heather Mills' publicist, Michele Elyzabeth, has decided to quit after representing the former Mrs. Paul McCartney for the past four years. In a statement obtained by "Extra," Elyzabeth declares: "After working for Heather Mills for the past four years, I have decided to cease representing her. Since her divorce has become final, in my opinion, Heather has become an impossible person."

Sherri Shepherd: "In 1993, my mother was dying from diabetic complications. My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses. I was in a very physically abusive relationship. I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count. I had very low self-esteem and just wanted to die. Sources at the La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, have revealed exclusively to In Touch that Angelina Jolie has given birth to her twins. According to insiders, the 33-year-old had a caesarean today at 6pm French time and delivered two girls. The first baby was born at 6.45 pm and the other at 7pm. The babies are in good health, another insider says.

Michelle Williams is reportedly making a film about Heath Ledger to keep the memory of the actor alive for the couple's daughter, Matilda. "It makes Michelle's heart ache that Matilda was so young when Heath died and she's unlikely to retain any memories of her father," a source told Australian Daily Telegraph. "She wants to keep his spirit alive with something Matilda can treasure all her life."

Heather Locklear is seeking treatment for anxiety and depression. "Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression," publicist Sarah Fuller said Tuesday in a statement. "She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment. Where's Jennifer Aniston, now that John Mayer is on tour in Europe? Our spies say Aniston arrived in Amsterdam this week and stayed in the Grand Hotel. Mayer arrived Sunday in Amsterdam for a concert and stayed in the Amstel hotel. But, a-hah! Mayer was spotted leaving the Grand Hotel early morning -- and we know what that means. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have set a wedding date, and to hear the talk show host tell it, the ceremony is going to be a doozy. DeGeneres, who won her fourth consecutive Daytime Emmy for talk show host Friday night, told reporters backstage at the Kodak Theatre that she and de Rossi are planning their "dream wedding."
